Cache servers

Cache Server Deployment

High-performance web and proxy caching that offloads repeat traffic from your upstream — lower transit bills and faster delivery for every user.

On a busy access network the same content crosses your upstream link thousands of times a day: operating-system and game updates, app-store downloads, video and CDN objects. A well-built cache server keeps one local copy and serves it to everyone else at line rate, so that traffic never has to be paid for twice.

Wizards Services has deployed caching for internet service providers and large networks across the Middle East since the early days of broadband. We size the hardware, place the cache correctly in your path, and tune it against your real traffic so you see measurable savings — not a box that just sits there.

What a Wizards cache deployment includes

Transparent inline caching

Placed in the traffic path with a bridge, policy route or redirect — no client configuration, subscribers just get faster downloads.

Tiered RAM + disk

Hot objects in memory, the long tail on a large disk pool, sized to your subscriber base and traffic mix.

Bandwidth & hit-rate reporting

Dashboards that show the hit ratio and the bytes you are offloading, so the savings are visible and provable.

QoS integration

Cache hits marked for your routers and firewalls so locally-served traffic is prioritised alongside your existing policies.

Resilience

Serve-stale-on-error and request coalescing so a flaky upstream never becomes an outage for your users.

How we deliver

1

Assess

We profile your traffic and upstream costs to estimate what is cacheable and what you would save.

2

Size & place

We spec the hardware and design where the cache sits in your topology for maximum hit rate.

3

Deploy & tune

We install, integrate with your routing/QoS, and tune policies against live traffic.

4

Monitor

Ongoing monitoring and adjustment, with 24/7 support if something needs attention.

Frequently asked

How much bandwidth can a cache server save?
It depends on your traffic mix, but repeat-heavy content (updates, video, downloads) caches very well — commonly offloading a large share of bytes from the upstream. We estimate your savings from your own profile before you commit.

Will my subscribers need to change any settings?
No. We deploy it transparently, so devices need no proxy configuration and users simply notice faster downloads.

Do you support ISPs as well as businesses?
Yes — most of our caching work is for internet service providers and large networks, but the same approach benefits any bandwidth-heavy organisation.

Stop paying for the same download twice.
